Mrs. Wilson has lived in San Diego for most of her life. She was born in Naples, Italy as her father served as an active member in the navy for 24 years and moved to the states when she was five years old. Mrs. Wilson purchased a coffee bar while she was in her undergraduate degree to help put herself through school. It was at that coffee bar where she began building relationships with individuals on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis as they looked forward to their coffee and their chat with the “coffee girl.” Mrs. Wilson saw just how much of an impact she made allowing people the opportunity to talk about their struggles. They would leave the coffee bar just a bit happier each time. That is when she decided the field of psychology was where she needed to be. She began volunteering as a peer counselor within the San Diego community and gaining experience within the field. It is through these avenues that Mrs. Wilson developed a passion and commitment to helping improve the quality of life for as many individuals as possible.
“I have a passion and dedication that drives me to help make a difference. One of the main goals I hope to establish within the therapeutic relationship is to meet the patient where they are, and collaboratively work towards the best quality of life that everyone wants and deserves. In my experience I have come to realize both personally and professionally, therapy is not always easy. However, with hard work, and dedication, it is without a doubt very worth it!”
